So, I went to the local Shop Rite supermarket on Saturday and wanted to get myself some chilled alcoholic beverages for personal consumption, and I came across this:

This energy drink looks like any typical drink you can buy at your local gas station, but upon closer inspection this one contains ALCOHOL! 9.0% alcohol to be precise. You really have to examine the can to find that out, but it’s on there.

The problem with designs like this can is that anyone could mistaken it for a typical energy drink. If an adult had a teenager with them and the kid thought it was a regular drink the parent could have bought it without realizing. The only good thing (about Shop Rite) is that the liquor department is a completely different section of the store and this was located there and nowhere else.

The cost of this 23.5oz can was $2.99 (less than a regular energy drink of that size). I purchased it curious to see what it tastes like, since I am a fan of the energy drink phenom. I was hoping that it would have some alcohol taste to it to discourage kids from drinking it. Fortunately, I was correct on that. This drink tasted like Peach Schnapps. It was very strong! I have had Schnapps before and have enjoyed it, but this drink was horrible. I was cringing everytime that I took a sip of it. It did hit me hard, don’t get me wrong on that, but I will never buy it again.
