Stop the music!
Well, it finally happened. . . . . .
Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart just to waste some time, and as I was leaving the store I heard it. . . . Christmas music!
For the love of God, why in the world does this have to happen this early? It’s barely 48 hours past Halloween. Did we decide to skip Thanksgiving this year?
I knew that it was a bad sign when I walked into the store and they had a large Christmas tree decorated in the front of the store. Now, I know that they’ve had Christmas items available in the seasonal department since September, but pumping the holiday muzak throughout the store is just wrong.
Starting this holiday this early really makes you lose the “spirit of giving” quite early. If everything that you see and hear around you is Christmasy this early, you’ll be more grateful when the actual Holiday is over!
